CeNTI disseminates technological innovation in Europe

CeNTI has been present at various national and international events, reinforcing its role as one of the leading players in applied Nanotechnology, Advanced and Sustainable Materials, and Intelligent Systems.

Over the last two months, the Centre has showcased the technological innovation developed in various Projects targeted at different sectors, such as Health, Mobility, Textile, Energy, Construction and Environment sectors. Check out some of the activities below, during which disruptive Projects, solutions, technologies and products made by CeNTI were disseminated:

15th and 16th October - Annual Conference of the Health Cluster Portugal, Porto (Portugal): Under the theme "Building bridges in Europe and beyond" and with the presence of IAPMEI - Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, the interim results of the HfPT - Health from Portugal Agenda were released at this event.
16th to 18th October – Batteries Event 2024, Lyon (França): CeNTI had the opportunity to disseminate the advancements of NGS and AM2R Projects in two communications.
21st October - RN21 Workshop - "Creating the Future with Natural Resin", Cantanhede (Portugal): The session included interactive themed stations, an inspiring case study presentation and networking moments with experts and professionals from the sector. More activities will be developed soon as part of this Project dedicated to moulding the future through natural resin. Follow it all HERE.
5th to 7th November - Smart City Expo World Congress, Barcelona (Spain): At this event dedicated to innovation and urban transformation, CeNTI presented the AM2R Project. The event returns from 4th to 6th November 2025.
6th November - Intermediate Public Session of the ILLIANCE Agenda, Lisbon (Portugal): The products and services already developed under this Mobilising Agenda, which focuses on the carbon neutrality of buildings, were presented.
11th to 14th November - Compamed, Dusseldorf (Germany): At this international medical technology fair, the innovations made by CeNTI in the HfPT Project were promoted, including the design, development and production of advanced solutions based on innovation and technology. The next edition will be held from 17th to 20th November 2025.
12th to 14th November - Automotive Interiors Expo, Stuttgart (Germany): In one of the largest exhibitions dedicated to design, components and manufacturing for automotive interiors, there was no shortage of BE.Neutral, GreenAuto, NGS - New Generation Storage, be@t, and RN21 Projects, focusing on the future of mobility. The event will return from November 11 to 13, 2025.
13th and 14th November - Sustainable Industry Week, Cologne (Germany): CeNTI presented the sustainable and circular innovations of PBA, be@t, GIATEX, SUSTAINABLE PLASTICS, NGS, R2UTechnologies, RN21, and BioShoes4All at the Greener Manufacturing Conference & Expo, Europe's largest trade fair and conference focused on sustainable solutions for industrial production, and at the Plastic Free World Conference & Expo, dedicated to industrial solutions for a world free of plastic waste. These events will return from 12th to 13th November 2025.
14th November - TEXP@CT General Meeting, Vila Nova de Famalicão (Portugal): As a partner in this Innovation Pact, the Centre shared and learned about the advances already made in the digitalisation of the Textile and Clothing Industry. The activity was organised at CITEVE.
14th November - TechDay, Mangualde (Portugal): The results already achieved, prototypes and demonstrators of the GreenAuto Project, with 100% Portuguese research, which aims to transform the automotive industry in the context of the transition to low-emission vehicles, were presented. The event took place at the Stellantis facilities.
12th to 15th November - Electronica 2024, Munich (Germany): At the world's leading electronics fair and conference, high-tech solutions developed as part of the R2UTechnologies Project, focused on the modular construction sector were presented. The event returns in 2026, from 10th to 13th November.
19th and 21st November - E-Textiles 2024, Berlin (Germany): At this international conference, the "Smart Blanket", developed under TEXP@CT (PPS20), was highlighted through a communication.
21st and 22nd November - Aachen-Dresden-Denkendorf International Textile Conference, Stuttgart (Germany): CeNTI researchers took disruptive Projects to one of the most important European events dedicated to textile research and innovation. The five papers, one of which was a keynote, made it possible to publicise GIATEX (WP5), AM2R, HfPT (WP2) and be@t.
