Description:
CeNTI is strengthening the Functional Fibres department.
We are looking for a professional with experience in Materials Science, particularly in polymers and thermoplastic-based composites, and active involvement in R&D projects, from their definition through to execution.
The ideal profile is results-oriented, with strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a strategic mindset, capable of turning ideas into concrete solutions, bringing differentiated knowledge to the team an contributing to the development of new areas of activity.
Integrated into a dynamic work team, the selected candidate will take on responsibilities in project development, taking part in all stages of the project, including the definition of technical specifications, development, characterisation, and technology transfer to industry.
Specific requirements:
- MSc or PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields;
- Strong background and experience in Materials, with particular focus on polymers and thermoplastic-based composites (knowledge of extrusion and/or reactive extrusion processes will be valued);
- Experience in technical project management and planning, with a focus on the efficient delivery of solutions;
- Proficiency in experimental design tools and methodologies, including management of activities, deliverables, milestones, schedules, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs);
-Fluency in Portuguese and English, spoken and written.
Specific skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in technical and multidisciplinary contexts;
- Ability to organise and plan projects, setting priorities in demanding environments;
- Technical writing skills, with proven ability to prepare reports and proposals, demonstrating technical rigour;
- Strong results orientation, with a high sense of responsibility and autonomy;
- Ability for critical analysis, strategic thinking and creativity in problem solving;
- Proactivity, dynamism and ability to adapt to Research and Development challenges;
- Ability to work in a team and interact effectively in multidisciplinary environments;
- High motivation and capacity for continuous learning.
