Description:

CeNTI is strengthening its Smart Materials Department.

We are looking for a motivated professional to join the Batteries and Energy Generation team, with an interest and experience in the development, integration and validation of energy generation and storage systems for stationary, mobility, smart building and distributed energy system applications.

The selected candidate will participate in R&D activities related to the integration of photovoltaic technologies and energy storage systems, hybrid system sizing, electrical and energy characterisation, development of testing methodologies, energy system modelling and simulation, as well as functional validation of microgeneration and self-consumption solutions.

The position will contribute to strengthening the team’s expertise in energy systems engineering, promoting the integration of renewable generation technologies, electrochemical energy storage and industrial applications, from system sizing and simulation through to experimental validation.

This work will be carried out within national and European projects, in close collaboration with industrial and scientific partners.

 

Specific requirements:

- MSc or PhD degree in Physics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Experience in energy generation and storage systems, particularly photovoltaic systems and batteries.
- Knowledge of photovoltaic system sizing, hybrid systems (PV + storage) and microgeneration solutions.
- Experience in the electrical and energy characterisation of generation and storage systems.
- Knowledge of energy system modelling and simulation, using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PVsyst, TRNSYS, Modelica, Python or equivalent.
- Experience in the integration of photovoltaic modules, encapsulation, lamination or BIPV/OPV solutions will be valued.
- Knowledge of optimisation algorithms, energy management, self-consumption or energy system sizing will be valued.
- Experience in the development of testing methodologies and the use of laboratory and pilot-scale equipment will be valued.
- Experience in national or international R&D projects and collaboration with industry will be valued.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Availability for occasional travel.

Description:

CeNTI is strengthening its Smart Materials Department.

We are looking for a motivated professional to join the Printed Electronics team, with a strong materials focus and experience in the development, processing and characterisation of functional and advanced materials, with particular emphasis on their integration into different substrates and structures for applications across various industrial sectors.

The selected candidate will participate in R&D activities related to the selection and integration of functional materials and components, optimisation of processes and interfaces, integration of flexible electronic elements, encapsulation, reliability assessment and validation of functional devices and structures, from laboratory scale through to pilot scale and demonstration in a relevant environment.

This work will be carried out within national and European projects, in close collaboration with industrial and scientific partners.

 

Specific requirements:

- MSc or PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Physics Engineering, Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the development, processing and characterisation of advanced materials.
- Experience in processes for integrating flexible electronics into substrates, components or structures, including lamination, encapsulation, adhesion, forming, thermoforming, overmoulding or injection processes, will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of functional printing technologies, printed electronics, material deposition and processing will be valued.
- Experience in the formulation and processing of inks, pastes, coatings or other functional materials will be valued.
- Experience in structural, microstructural, thermal, mechanical, electrical and functional characterisation techniques for materials and devices.
- Experience in manufacturing process scale-up and optimisation, from laboratory to pilot scale, will be valued.

We are looking for a motivated professional to join R&D activities in the field of functional materials, sensors and smart devices, with particular emphasis on the characterisation, monitoring and performance assessment of materials, structures and devices.

The selected candidate will participate in the development and characterisation of functional materials and devices, as well as in the definition and implementation of experimental methodologies for electrical and functional characterisation. Activities will include the assessment of electrical and functional properties, acquisition and analysis of experimental data, characterisation of sensor and device responses, and evaluation of their performance, stability, repeatability, durability and reliability under different operating conditions.

The candidate will also contribute to establishing relationships between material properties, manufacturing processes, device architecture and functional performance, supporting the optimisation and validation of materials, sensors and devices for different industrial applications.

The work will be carried out within the scope of national and European R&D projects, in close collaboration with industrial and scientific partners.

We are looking for a motivated professional to join the Batteries and Energy Generation team, contributing to the development and validation of materials, components and devices for electrochemical hydrogen technologies, with particular emphasis on electrolysers and fuel cells.

The selected candidate will participate in R&D activities related to the development, processing and characterisation of advanced materials and membranes, their integration into components and cells, and the development of testing and validation methodologies. Activities will include the assessment of physicochemical and electrochemical properties, performance and efficiency, as well as ionic transport, stability, degradation and durability under different operating conditions.

This work will be carried out within national and European projects, in close collaboration with industrial and scientific partners.

 

Specific requirements:

- MSc or PhD degree in Physics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in electrochemistry, advanced materials or electrochemical energy conversion technologies.
- Experience in electrochemical characterisation techniques, including polarisation curves, voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) or equivalent techniques.
- Experience in the development, processing or characterisation of membranes, ionomers or other functional materials for electrochemical devices will be valued.
- Knowledge of water electrolysis technologies, namely PEM, AEM, alkaline or other architectures, will be valued.
- Knowledge of fuel cell technologies, namely PEMFC or other technologies, will be valued.
- Experience in the preparation, assembly or testing of electrochemical components, cells, MEAs, stacks or equivalent systems will be valued.
