CeNTI -

The future of the Textile Industry is (increasingly) circular

Events

The first Seminar promoted by CeNTI within the scope of the be@t Integrated Project,  took place on March 19th at the Centre’s facilities in Vila Nova de Famalicão (Portugal), under the theme 'From Research to Product: Paths to Sustainability and Circularity'.

This in-person session was an opportunity for researchers, experts and professionals dedicated to sustainability and circularity areas to exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences, as well as discuss circular, efficient, and innovative solutions based on advanced materials that are driving sustainability and the green transition in the Textile Industry.

Participants attended two lectures on innovation in the circular economy and advanced materials, and a panel on the transition from the linear production model to a collaborative and circular one, exploring industrial symbiosis.

A guided tour of the Centre's facilities was followed, during which the laboratories, equipment and ongoing lines of research were showcase, with a special focus on the be@t pilot line dedicated to regenerated cellulose fibres.
