PRIMED consolidates progress in Italy and is featured on RDP Internacional!
The consortium of the European Project PRIMED met in Genoa, Italy, at the BIC – Incubatore di Genova, to review progress and align the next steps. During the 4th general meeting, the partners shared results, discussed the development of the technical solutions and reinforced collaboration and joint efforts towards achieving the Project's objectives.
These developments reflect PRIMED's ambitions to advance the circular bioeconomy through the creation of Circular Business Models (CBMB) that involve primary producers in the production of high-value bio-based solutions, supported by advanced biorefineries. These solutions are being tested and demonstrated in five Living Labs located in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Finland.
PRIMED was also featured on the Portuguese radio station RDP Internacional, in the programme “Isto Faz-se Por Cá”, which highlighted the Portuguese bio-silica innovation developed at CeNTI's Living Lab. The recognition reinforces the Project’s relevance in promoting sustainable and bio-based solutions that strengthen the link between science and the primary sector.
Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme (@HorizonEU), PRIMED brings together 13 partners from eight European countries, including universities, research centres and companies, to accelerate the circular bioeconomy through a collaborative ecosystem that transforms innovation into sustainability and economic value.
