Portuguese technological innovation was in the spotlight in June at two of the most important international events dedicated to the circular economy of batteries and sustainable mobility: the Battery Recycling Conference & Expo 2025 and Eurobike 2025, both held in Frankfurt, Germany.

At the Battery Recycling Conference & Expo, a leading European event in the field of battery recycling and recovery of critical raw materials, which took place on the 11th and 12th of June, CeNTI promoted New Generation Storage (NGS), an Innovation Pact that aims to create a technological ecosystem in Portugal in the battery sector, covering the entire value chain, from production to recycling.

At Eurobike 2025, the reference trade fair for the global cycling and eco-mobility community, which took place from June 25th to 29th, various technological solutions based on advanced materials, applied nanotechnology, and smart systems for sustainable mobility were showcased. The AM2R – Mobilising Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheel sector and the NGS – New Generation Storage Projects were highlighted at this event.

These international participations reinforce CeNTI’s commitment to fostering the transition to greener, more connected, and efficient technologies, while consolidating its presence on the main European stages of scientific and technological innovation.

They are also strategic opportunities to monitor global trends and identify solutions and technologies that can inspire and be translated into success stories in Portugal.
