CeNTI integrates UMinho Innovation Alliance, an Innovation Portuguese network

CeNTI is one of 11 entities in Northern Portugal that have joined forces to create the UMinho Innovation Alliance, aiming to strengthen collaboration between various institutions within the innovation ecosystem, promoting scientific and technological development and supporting regional and national competitiveness.
This collaborative network will explore complementarities in building common Research and Development agendas for new products, processes and systems, bringing together the entire Innovation chain, from the concept phase, through prototyping and validation to industrial implementation.
In addition to disseminating and enhancing scientific and technological knowledge, it is planned to share and articulate infrastructures and the coordinated exploration of internationalisation opportunities.
The UMinho Innovation Alliance was formally established on January 29th, 2025, and presented at the Azurém campus of the University of Minho (UMinho) in Guimarães (Portugal).
The formalisation session was attended by representatives of the partner institutions and entities: UMinho; the seven Technology and Innovation centres, CCG/ZGDV Institute, CeNTI, CITEVE - Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industry, CiTiN - Industrial Technology and Innovation Center, CVR - Centre for Waste Valorisation, Fibrenamics - Institute for Innovation in Fiber and Composites Materials and PIEP - Centre for Innovation in Polymer Engineering; CoLab DTx - Laboratório Colaborativo em Transformação Digital; and two interface institutions, TecMinho - University-Business Association for Development (only in Portuguese) and TECMEAT - Agri-Food Competence Center for the Meat Sector.
