BIOMAT consortium meets in Milan for Project closing meeting

Events

The Italian city of Milan hosted the closing meeting of BIOMAT, bringing together the 25 partners of this European Project, coordinated by CeNTI.

During the meeting, held early in December, the various companies and scientific and technological entities that formed the consortium analysed and discussed the main results achieved. Among them was the creation of an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) [a platform providing access to services and infrastructures for product testing and experimentation] for the development of advanced bio-based polyurethane foams and composites, functionalised with nanomaterials, which addresses the industry’s needs while promoting eco-friendly practices to reduce environmental impact.

The following steps for continuing BIOMAT-TB, the platform where OITB services will be available, operated through BIOMAT-Single Entry Point, were also discussed, with its operation being guaranteed after the Project's official end.

BIOMAT's closing meeting consolidated the consortium partners' commitment to driving innovative and sustainable solutions for the European Industry.
