CeNTI -

Bioeconomy in the primary sector: 2nd Open Call to fund innovative projects runs until May

Innovation

The European Project PRIMED, dedicated to developing the Bioeconomy in the primary sector, has opened a new application period for funding innovative and sustainable initiatives. The second Open Call allows producers, small and medium-sized enterprises and Industry representatives to test and validate new bio-based ideas, materials, and processes by incorporating them into different products.

The selected proposals will have access to one of PRIMED's Living Labs, located in different European countries, which support the creation of new business models and value chains based on renewable resources.

In the Bio-Silica Lab, CeNTI's Living Lab, bio-silica is extracted from agro-industrial waste and can undergo further modification to enhance its intrinsic properties, such as hydrophobicity, flame retardancy or antimicrobial activity. The final materials can then be incorporated into products for various applications and sectors.

Applications for this Open Call can be submitted until May 30th, 2025. To do so, those interested should fill out the form, available HERE, and send it to info@primed-project.eu. Updates on the eligibility criteria, process, and deadlines can be found on the same link.

PRIMED has 50,000 euros of funding available for innovative technologies capable of transforming the future of the bioeconomy in key areas such as fisheries, forestry, agriculture, and agri-food.
