The Norte em Movimento (North in Motion) operation aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of the PREI – Sustainable Mobility and Energy Transition (MSTE), contributing to the further consolidation of the S3 NORTE 2027 governance model in the areas of sustainable mobility and the energy transition.
The project is based on coordination, capacity building, the development of smart specialisation value chains, and skills reinforcement, promoting an integrated approach aligned with regional priorities.
Through this approach, the operation seeks to position the Northern Region as a European reference territory for innovation in mobility and energy.
Main Goals/Activities

1. Promote interaction and the sharing of best practices and experiences among PREI MSTE members, strengthening their skills and capacities to act as key players in energising the governance model of S3 NORTE 2027; 2. Propose policy recommendations, action plans and flagship projects for the MSTE priority domain, exploring interactions among the various regional smart specialisation value chains, including automotive, aeronautics, railways, energy and space technologies; |
3. Contribute to the definition of investment priorities associated with the MSTE priority domain through collective entrepreneurial discovery processes; 4. Foster coordination between PREI MSTE and other regional smart specialisation platforms, identifying interaction points with potential to generate added value; 5. Disseminate and communicate the results achieved to actors within the regional innovation system, as well as at national and European levels. |
