Development of facial mask with humidity saturation signalling

HydroMask aims to develop solutions for signalling humidity saturation in personal protective equipment, allowing the user to easily understand when it is necessary to replace his mask, contributing to greater efficiency concerning community protection, reinforcing the combating COVID-19.

Main Goals/Activities

Development and integration of an innovative solution for the detection of humidity saturation in reusable masks, based on coating and extrusion technologies.

Results

The aim is to obtain an innovative face protection mask with increased signaling properties, which will contribute to greater effectiveness regarding community protection, reinforcing the fight against COVID-19.
