ECOQUALIFICA+

Capacity Building for Ecodesign, Sustainability and Green Finance in the Habitat Value Chain

ECOQUALIFICA+ aims to strengthen the capabilities of SMEs within the Habitat value chain in the North and Central regions of Portugal, supporting their transition towards more sustainable business models and improving access to green finance.

The project promotes the strategic and operational qualification of companies through the integration of ecodesign principles, circular economy approaches and ESG criteria, contributing to greater competitiveness and preparedness for climate transition challenges. Targeting a value chain largely composed of SMEs, including many traditional and family-owned businesses, ECOQUALIFICA+ delivers a range of initiatives, including maturity assessments, the development of technical resources, awareness-raising and capacity-building activities, reverse pitch sessions with investors, and the dissemination of best practices.

Key outputs include sustainability trend guides tailored to the different sectors of the Habitat value chain, as well as green finance roadmaps, providing companies with practical tools to integrate sustainability into their business strategies and improve access to green funding opportunities.
