ALIVETEX

Smart and customisable acoustic partition solutions
ALIVETEX aims to address current market trends in interior construction and rehabilitation, driven by the population growth in major cities and the demand for versatile built environments that do not require significant structural interventions.
To achieve this, the project focuses on the development of smart and customisable textile-based partitions, capable of autonomously adapting their shape in response to ambient noise, providing an acoustic enhancement suitable for their application, and thereby, enabling the transformation of spaces into multipurpose environments.
To optimise the acoustic performance, a combination of low-environmental impact materials, particularly natural-based waste and/or bio-based secondary materials, such as cork and textile waste, with creative and innovative design technologies is being used.
In terms of design, complex structures inspired by "origami" patterns, alongside the direct printing of 3D shapes onto the fabric using a composite material, will be developed. These structures will be capable of adapting to their environment through autonomous mechanical systems, enhancing acoustic comfort.
These sustainable and innovative solutions are targeted at a global and urbanised market, where spatial flexibility, comfort, well-being, and aesthetics are key factors in consumer decision-making.
