CeNTI -
PBA – Textiles Vertical already has social media
The Textiles Vertical within the Blue Bioeconomy Pact (PBA) - has gained a new, more global dimension with the creation of an official Facebook page and a LinkedIn profile. The presence on these social networks allows for the dissemination of scientific results from the Project to a broader audience, raise awareness about the importance of this research and facilitate connections with other professionals in the field, boosting collaborations, partnerships and the knowledge exchange.
The PBA is a Mobilising Agenda that sees the ocean as a response to the global challenge of the scarcity of terrestrial natural resources. Its goal is to stimulate the incorporation of blue bioeconomy goods into new products, processes, and services, thus positively impacting the environment, the consumers lives, and national exports.
These innovative developments will lead to competitive, value-added products marked by sustainability and the promotion of circularity in the sector.
CeNTI's research is part of the Textiles Vertical (Work Package 3), led by TMG Textiles, which intends to use waste and biomass from Portuguese marine sources to produce sustainable fibres, fabrics and knits for use in clothing and footwear.
