WDS: Innovative project for monitoring the water distribution grid presented in Coimbra

The WDS - Water Data Solutions will be presented on September 30th, in Coimbra (Portugal), at the Lufapo Hub, of the CTCV - Centro Tecnológico da Cerâmica e do Vidro. Promoted by a consortium composed of the Portuguese company Wada Solutions, the University of Aveiro and CeNTI, the Project aims to develop an innovative system for managing the water distribution grid.

The primary function of this differentiating solution will be monitoring the water distribution grid, capable of detecting leaks or irregular consumption behaviour, simultaneously implementing a system to assess its quality. In this way, the WDS intends to combat the scarcity of this resource, promote efficient use and ensure that water reaches final consumers in perfect conditions.

In addition to publicising the Project, the initiative will feature several relevant panels in the water sector. The impact of losses on the distribution grid sustainability, the quality and monitoring of water for public health, the challenges in changing the consumption paradigm and community instruments and funds will be the topics in discussion.

The WDS presentation event is aimed at policymakers, public and private administration staff and qualified industry professionals. Participation is free and includes lunch. However, pre-registration is required, which you can do HERE (only in Portuguese).

You can consult the program HERE, and if you need any clarification, you can contact the organisation via email at mail@wada.solutions.

WDS is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Programme (COMPETE 2020) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
