Bionanopolys: innovative technologies accessible to European SMEs

European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can, until April 30th, 2023, apply for the Bionanopolys “Open Call” to develop, test or upscale the technologies developed by the Project free of charge. This aims to create innovative and safe bio-based nano-enabled materials and bio-polymeric nanocomposites.

The disruptive solutions have improved properties of high interest for the Industry and new multifunctional and advanced applications for packaging, textiles, agriculture, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food or 3D printing. In addition, Bionanopolys also offers transversal services for the parameterisation of processes and business consultancy for a more sustainable future.

The technologies and services will be made available through an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB), an innovation ecosystem composed of cutting-edge scientific and technological entities, including CeNTI. Bionanopolys thus facilitate access to physical facilities, technical-scientific knowledge and management services, from the laboratory validation phase to industrial prototyping.

To enlighten companies from different interested sectors about the OITB and how they can register for the “Open Call”, ITENE, the Project coordinator, organised, on February 17th, the Workshop “Virtual Open Day Bionanopolys Open Call”, which took place in an online format.
